Jens Christian Svabonio's Music Book 1775

Music book by Faroese Jens Christian Svabo (1746-1824) who used the latin name Svabonio when he lived and studied in Copenhagen, Denmark. The music is generally regarded as traditional (unknown composers) and may also be credited as "Trad. efter Svabo". More of the tunes are also found in the Brødrene Bast music book. The original music book is kept in Tórshavn, the Faroe Islands; a copy is stored at The Royal Library in Copenhagen. The title page shows the inscription "Nodebog Jens Christian Svabonio 1775".
