Swedish classical violinist, born on 26 August 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was born to Finnish-Swedish-Norwegian parents in Buenos Aires and grew up in Finland and Sweden. She started playing the violin at the age of seven and studied in Stockholm and Copenhagen, where she made her debut with Sjællands Symfoniorkester. Played in the Tale quartet in the years 81 - 96. They were mainly focused on contemporary music and have made a dozen or so CD recordings and received awards for these both in Sweden and internationally. She was a member of Stockholm's New Chamber Orchestra and plays regularly with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Tale was first concertmaster in the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra for eight years, but then moved to Stockholm, where she is a frequent guest concertmaster in the Hofkapellet, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared as a soloist with many orchestras with concerts by e.g. Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Berg, Shostakovich, Larsson, Schnittke, Pärt and Jacques Loussier. Tale is also a valued educator. She has been teaching violin and chamber music at the Academy of Music in Stockholm since 2002 and has taught chamber music courses both at home and abroad. Tale can be heard on many CDs, for example with Swedish solo repertoire on BIS and CPO. Employed 1st concert master in Kungliga Hovkapelletsince March 2011.
