Bjørn Holmvik

Norwegian classically trained bass player, conductor, and music teacher. Played with the Oslo Philharmonic from 1966. In the 1970s he was conductor of Romerike Symfoniorkester for three years. Was director of Norrköping Orkesterförening before leaving them for a position as director of culture for Bærum municipality, which he held from 1987 to 1993 before moving onto Bergen, also here as director of culture.
