Paulo Bragança, born in Luanda in 1971, stood out in the 90s for challenging the tradition of fado with an irreverent style, often singing barefoot.
Known as a "punk fado singer" for his innovative approach and barefoot performances, he had great international projection. With landmark albums such as Amai (1994) and Mistério do Fado (1996), the fado singer had an international career and collaborated with names like José Cid before a period of seclusion in Ireland. He returned permanently to Portugal in 2017, releasing the EP Cativo in 2018.
