Credits before 1972 are more likely Billy Sherrill, producer, songwriter and also a sound engineer in Nashville
He was hired to work as assistant engineer at label 366137 around Thanksgiving 1969. He made his first recording session on Jan. 1, 1970. In the spring of 1975, he left Sound Shop to work at Jack Clement Recording Studios (later known as Sound Emporium. After 4-5 years there, he went independent. Known to have worked at Eleven Eleven Studio as well as various other recording studios in the Nashville area.
Known to have worked with artists such as Kenny Rodgers, Kenny Chesney, Joe Stampley, Dixie Chicks, George Jones, Grand Funk, Jean Sheppard, John Denver, and more.
*Note: please, be very careful when crediting this profile or Billy Sherrill; due to - coincidentally - same Nashville area, same time period (1970+). Billy Sherrill worked as sound engineer until 1964 at Sam Phillips Studio, Nashville (rarely after this date) when he became a producer (the majority of his career). While Billy Sherrill (2) started to work in the very early 1970s and spent the majority of his career as sound engineer (rarely if ever, as producer).
