Molly Drake

English poet and musician. Born as Mary Lloyd on 5 November 1915. Died on 4 June 1993. She was married to Rodney Drake and was the mother of the musician Nick Drake and the actress Gabrielle Drake. Molly was probably an early influence on Nick, because she played the piano and wrote songs herself. She once composed a whole suite of children's songs for Nick and Gabrielle.
