Florence Cole-Talbert

Concert and operatic soprano, aka Flo Bert (although there was also another artist named Florence Bert who recorded as Flo Bert). A pioneer black concert artist. Cole was born in Detroit, was married to pianist-director Wendell P. Talbert. Cole-Talbert went to Europe in 1924, and returned to the United States in 1927.
