Maggie Boyle

Folk singer and flute player. Wife of Steve Tilston from 1984 to 1997. Mother of Joe Tilston and Molly Tilston. She grew up in London's Irish community. Her father Paddy Boyle was a fiddle player, her mother Alice Gorman a dancer. Her singing was tutored by County Monaghan singer Oliver Mulligan. As a teenager she performed with her brothers Kevin and Paul as The Boyle Family. She died from cancer aged 57. Born: December 24, 1956 in Battersea, London, UK Died: November 6, 2014
