German-Italian Death Rock band, founded in 1988 in Kassel, Germany.

The band had some success in the early 1990's Gothic scene. In 1996, Mark Hofmann and Waldemar Zaremba left the band to continue with their project Engelsstaub, which was founded in 1992. With a new line-up, the band continued and is still active.
In 1996, the leaving members of the band launched a trial against the remaining members about the usage of the band's name. In the following time, the band used the name "Madre". In 1997, they got an agreement and were allowed to continue to use the name "Madre Del Vizio".
