American author and professor of communications and media studies, also a songwriter, singer and record producer in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with recordings by the Vogues, Donna Marie of the Archies and Ellie Greenwich. Founder and president of Happysad Records. Resumed singer-songwriter career in 2020 with release of new album on Old Bear Records and Light In the Attic Records
