The Salads were a punk rock band from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.
In 1987 school friends, drummer Grant Taylor, guitarist Dave Ziemba, bassist Chuck Dailey were in a band, Lynx, in King Township, Ontario. After high school, the band became The Salads, and moved to Toronto with Darren Dumas joining as lead singer in 1997.
The band incorporated ska and reggae into their punk sound.
The band achieved some success in Canada before disbanding in 2016.
