Formed in the early-1970 in Munich, Germany. They were initially the song writing duo of Günther Lohmeier and Hans Reupold, becoming the folk/classical fusion band Schariwari in 1977.
In the end of 1977 they startet as a trio with Franz Meier on the double Bass. After the first album:"Leit schaugts uns ins G´sicht" the band grow up with Wolfgang Lohmeier, drums und Manfred Kickstein on keyboards.After other two albums: "Der Mensch geht vor" and "De Zeit is reif" the band stopped in 1985.
Some years later the Band playes with a lot of different musisians.
From 1996 till 2012 the band played more than 200 shows with the musical:"Bayerische Rauhnacht"!
In 2002 a new album: "Gemeinsamkeiten" was released on the own Label Wolpertinger Records.
2017 Günther Lohmeier called Franz Meier-Dini to play together. With Stevie Moises and Rudi Baumann was the new SCHARIWARI Band created.
2019 they recordet the first Live Album of the Band called:" Live" with all the wonderful songs from the beginning till some new songs.
