Maria Luisa Chorens

Cuban singer. Born January 11, 1915 in Cuba. Died August 18, 1999 in Miami, Florida. Sister of Olga Chorens. Married first to pianist/composer Rey Díaz Calvet and later actor Néstor Cabell. She came to nationwide fame in Cuba in the early 1950's through radio and television broadcasts. In the year 1954, she was named the Queen of Radio and Television in Cuba. She later continued her career in the United States.
