In 1981 Peter Koelewijn thought he should write a song about world peace, the missing relevance. He brought the artists Gebroeders Brouwer, Jaques Herb, Andres, Don Mercedes, Gerard Schoonebeek, Connie Vink, Wilma, Hetty Smit and Sonja to the studio with whom he recorded the song tittled "From Washington to Moscow". The recording was done at the Wisseloord Studio with technician Janfred Arendsen. The cover photo for the single came from the famous paparazzi photographer Joop van Tellingen. Peter Koelewijn himself thought the record would be a hugh success. Though to his sadness noticed that DJs like Frits Spits saw nothing in the song. The record did not achieve a high hit rating neither brought it the desired world peace any closer.
