Michael “5000” Watts

Founder of Swishahouse, DJ, and Radio Host of KBXX's 97.9 "The Box", from the Northside of Houston, Texas. Born June 7th 1973, Michael Watts began DJing in the early-to-mid 80's and made his first mixtape at age 14. He began making more mixes and selling them around his neighborhood, which led to him paying off his deceased mother's mortgage debt at age 20. Died at the age of 52 on January 30, 2026 from heart failure.
