From Dallas, Texas, keyboardist/songwriter Cavin Yarbrough and Alisa Peoples have known each other since they were young children as they had met taking piano lessons. As adults they formed a musical partnership and through The Gap Band met and signed with Los Angeles based music entrepreneur Lonnie Simmons' Total Experience Productions. In 1980 Mercury released their debut album, "The Two Of Us", featuring "Don't Stop The Music".
