Swedish saxophonist, flautist, clarinetist and producer, born 17 September 1940 in Jönköping, died 1 November 2025 in Stockholm. He started working as a recording musician in the late 1960s. In the 1990s, he began working as a producer (mainly for Phono Suecia). Kling was a frequently hired musician, including by Abba where he played saxophone and flute on the group's albums Arrival, Voulez-Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors.[2] Kling also played on records with Björn Skifs, Jerry Williams, Ted Gärdestad and Monica Zetterlund. Jan Kling also wrote a number of books for teaching flute and clarinet.
