Pedro Ortaça

Pedro Ortaça (São Luiz Gonzaga, June 29, 1942 - May 29, 2026) was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and guitarist of nativist music. He sang about things from his past and pays tribute to other missionary singers such as Jayme Caetano Braun, Cenair Maicá and Noel Guarany, the four artists called Troncos Missioneiros. In 2006, he was awarded the Vitor Mateus Teixeira Award, given by the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul.
