Far East Family Band was a 70s Japanese Psychedelic-Progressive-Rock band that started out as Far Out in 1973, and changed names in 1975 to FEFB, which was founded by, among others, Fumio Miyashita. A certain Kitaro was added later as an extra keyboardist. One of Japan's earliest prog bands, Far East Family Band became hugely popular in Japan and also achieved considerable attention in Europe too.
