Mexican accordion player (nicknamed "El Rey del Acordeón"), singer, composer, and leader of a norteño conjunto, from Monterrey (born December 8, 1945), now living in Hidalgo, Texas, he started the group Relampagos del Norte in the early 1960s, and later Los Bravos del Norte, he is a 4-time Grammy winner and has recorded 113 albums. Also known as Ramón Ayala Garza, brother of José Luis Ayala and Fidencio Ayala, father of Ramón Ayala Jr..
