Monsta X (몬스타엑스) is a South Korean boy group formed by STARSHIP Entertainment through the Mnet survival show No.Mercy (노머시), which aired from late 2014 to early 2015. The group officially debuted on May 14, 2015, with the mini album 1006863. The group originally consisted of seven members: Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. Wonho departed the group in October 2019. Monsta X currently promotes as a six-member group and has one official sub-unit, Shownu X Hyungwon.
