Chamber orchestra that was part of Muziekcentrum van de Omroep (MCO). Established in 1945 as the "Omroep Kamerorkest", its first conductor was André Rieu. In 1958 it changed its name into Radio Kamerorkest. Subsequent conductors were Roelof Krol, Ernest Bour, Ton Koopman and Peter Eötvös, these two sharing the position as of 1994. Koopman eventually was succeeded by Frans Brüggen in 2001. In 2005 the orchestra merged with the Nederlands Radio Symfonie Orkest which resulted in the creation of the Radio Kamer Filharmonie.
