American band based in Ohio (USA), active in the second half of the 1960s. Not to be confused with R&B act The 8th Day, this band was affiliated with the bubblegum producer and Barry Manilow associate Ron Dante. They had evolved from two bands, The Sons of Liberty and the Opus IV, With two girls from South West Ohio, Nancy Pettit (from Cadiz) and Melanie Ross (from Hopedale). The Opus IV is the band heard playing on the album, and they took over the identity fo The Eighth Day.
