Bryan “Brain” Mantia

Bryan Mantia (aka Brain (26)) is an American drummer, composer and producer born February 4, 1963. Bryan has collaborated with bands including Primus, Guns N' Roses (2000-2006), Praxis, and Godflesh, as well as solo artists like Tom Waits, Serj Tankian, Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, and guitarist Buckethead. He has also performed session work for a number of artists and bands. Forms the composing/producing duo "Brain and Melissa" in collaboration with her creative/business partner & keyboardist Melissa Reese (Guns N' Roses). The pair also worked with avant-garde guitarist Buckethead on a series of multi-CD sets albums called "Kind Regards" and "Best Regards". He is part of the American experimental/alternative rock project Mars Mechanics along with his friends/collaborators bassist Steve Freeman (3) aka Extrakd (El Stew with guitarist Buckethead) and guitarist Mark Mirv Haggard (M.I.R.V., Les Claypool And The Holy Mackerel).
