English guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, producer, cutting engineer and inventor. Born on May 12, 1950 in Devon, England, as son of Christine & Henry Williamson, and grew up living in a caravan in a field overlooking the North Devon coast. Got involved with staging and sound production via the Glastonbury Festival and the Rainbow Theatre. Met Gilli Smyth at a science fiction festival and was her partner between 1977 or 1978, and 1992. Became a regular collaborator with Mother Gong and on numerous other Gong-related projects. Has lived in Melbourne, Australia since 1982. Founded the Ottersongs label in 1980 and of the Spring Studio in Melbourne in 1983. Also worked at the Princess Theater as sound engineer in 1983-1984 and became a partner at Richmond Recorders where he set up a vinyl record plant and taught himself & others to cut, process and press records. In the early 1990s he set up "yet another studio in Prahran", concentrating more on production, mastering and video production and editing ... which he applied to a number of Gong DVDs. In 2011 he refurbished the Federation Bells at Birrung Marr in Melbourne..Currently lives in Wheelers Hill, Melbourne, with his partner Maribel Steel.
