American producer, songwriter and vocalist. (died July 31, 2025) Born in North Carolina and partially raised in New York, Rico played 13 instruments including guitar, bass, piano and drums. In 1997, Randy Jackson signed him to Columbia Records, kicking off what would be a decades-long career as a solo performer, producer and composer.
