Amon Amarth

A melodic death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. Initially started as a grindcore band Scum in 1989, but after line-up changes their musical direction changed towards death/viking metal and in 1992 they changed name to Amon Amarth. Band's name is taken from Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and means the mighty mountain of doom.
