Swedish jazz guitarist, composer, bandleader and educator, born November 23, 1960 in Gothenburg.
In 1989, he started a band under his own name and released his first album. After releasing Guitarland in 1993, he was noticed the following year in the television program Jazzduellen on SVT, where older, established musicians met younger ones on their way up. In the program, he played and was interviewed together with Rune Gustafsson.
He has participated as a backing musician in a number of different television bands, including På spåret and Bingolotto. Since 1999, Rolf Jardemark has also participated as a guitarist in a number of musicals staged at the Gothenburg Opera.
After his debut album in 1989, he has released about ten more albums, most recently The Ripple Effect (2023) where pianist Lars Jansson appears together with drummer Adam Ross and bassist Olli Rantala.
Since 2000, he has also run his own record label, Guitarlandrecords.
Rolf Jardemark is mentioned in the book The Great Jazz Guitarists – The Ultimate Guide, by the American jazz historian and author Scott Yanow.
In 2019, Rolf Jardemark received the Gothenburg City Cultural Scholarship.
