The band name is a fusion of closeness to home and unity.
"Goitzsche" means the former lignite mine of the same name in Saxony-Anhalt, which now appears on the maps of Germany under "Großer Goitzscher See" after it was flooded.
The quartet describes itself as a front, because "it's the cohesion that makes us strong!"
