British singer, songwriter, and bass player who was musically active from the early-1960s to his death in 2017. At 14 he was in his first band 'The Warriors'. They split-up in 1967 in Frankfurt, and Foster joined a band called 'The Big Sound', touring Scandinavia. Returning to London in '68 he formed 'Sleepy' with Rod Hill. In 1969, Foster teamed up once again with Jon Anderson (also ex-Warriors) who was then with 'Yes' and together they wrote 'Sweet Dreams', and 'Yours Is No Disgrace'. In 1970, he formed his next band 'Accrington Stanley', before going on to form 'Badger' with Tony Kaye, in 1972. They only recorded one album, 'One Live Badger'. Born: 6th September 1946, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Died: 2nd November 2017, in Scotland
