German electro-wave/darkwave duo, formed by Jürgen Dobelmann and Michael Grätzbach in 1985 in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, after disbanding Neue Deutsche Welle group Die Lästigen Musikanten.
Inspired by the music of Clan Of Xymox, Twice A Man, Gary Numan, New Order and The Human League, the band started producing their first tapes, followed by several live gigs. Some of their songs have been played in local clubs and radio stations. In 1987, they supported Clan Of Xymox on their '30334' tour, playing live at Stuttgart's 'Maxim' nightclub. In March 1988, Teenage Brain Surgeon released their first and only single 'Fatal Day' on Stuttgart record label Warp Factor Industries. The following year Stephan Hirschmann joined the band for recording their fourth and final full-length tape 'Compton Ainstaedt'.
