Alfred Wittenberg

German violinist, pianist and university lecturer [* 14 January 1880 in Breslau, German Empire (today Wroclaw, Poland); † 18 July 1952 in Shanghai, China]. Started his career as a "wonderboy" at the age of 10. Emigrated to Shanghai in 1939, where in the late 1940's he became a teacher at the Central Music Conservatory. Li Mingqiang was one of his pupils.
