Swedish folk musician who mainly plays violin and viola, born 12 February 1953 in Lidingö. She attended Adolf Fredrik's music school in 1968, where she studied folk music for Thore Härdelin. She has been a member of Delsbo Spelmän, a substitute for Härdelin's orchestra Delsbopojkarna, and has been active as a fiddler in Dellenbygdens folkdanslag. She has also been chairman of the "Riksförbundet för folkmusik och dans" and teaches violin at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In 2014, she became a member of the Royal Academy of Music. She plays music and songs from the Orsa and Bingsjö traditions. She has been taught by great musicians like Nils Agenmark and Päkkos Gustaf and played in groups like Filarfolket, Den fule and Rosenbergs Sjua. She has worked as a theater musician, been taught by the Indian master Shivakumar and has been playing with the kora player Solo Cissokho since 1998.
