Garry Cobain

(born 1967, Bedford, England) English electronic musician, best known as one half of The Future Sound of London. Based in France. Credited using the surname Cockbain on earlier releases, and as Cobain on later ones. His given name is spelt both Garry or Gary. He left Bedford for Manchester in his late-teens to study, becoming involved in a band before meeting Brian Dougans to form FSOL. Cobain left the college to build his own studio on an Enterprise Allowance Course and they began to release tracks under aliases such as Mental Cube and Art Science Technology. Their first successful collaboration was Stakker Humanoid, after which they started to release music as FSOL.
