American country-rock bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, singer, songwriter, engineer and producer, born February 9, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia; died April 20, 2026, Madison, Tennessee. Played in groups Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry and as a sessionman for Joan Baez, Charlie Daniels, Fats Domino, The Everly Brothers, Leo Kottke, Mike Nesmith, Nancy Sinatra, Bob Dylan ("Blonde on Blonde" session), Hank Snow, and many others. Founder of Cinderella Sound Studios. Inducted 2013 to the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.
