Czech composer, songwriter, arranger, clarinetist, saxophonist, violinist. Born July 28, 1908 in Čechovice near Prostějov (former Austro-Hungarian Empire, presently Czech Republic), died December 12, 1978 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia). Also known under pseudonym “Allan” (ALfons LANger), he initiated the female vocal groups Allanovy Sestry (“Allan’s Sisters”) and Allan-kvartet.
