Ken Levy and the Phantoms were a 60s rock band from Cambridge, England, formed in 1960 and disbanded in 1969. They recorded several albums, and toured extensively in Scandinavia.
After modest success in England and one release on Palette Recordings in 1961 (as The Phantoms), they enjoyed far greater popularity in Scandinavia in the early 1960s after being invited to tour with Per Granberg in Norway in 1961. They would eventually move to Sweden and were billed alongside many big names of that era such as Del Shannon, The Searchers, Chubby Checker and Gerry and the Pacemakers and most notably were the supporting act for The Beatles during their Swedish tour in October, 1963.
Members: Ken Levy (lead guitar, later on vocals), Cliff Gentle (rhythm guitar), David Cooke (bass), Freddie Smart (drums), later replaced by Robin Bailey, and Johnny Culham (vocals).
