Harppia

Formed in São Paulo in 1983, Harppia is a legendary Brazilian heavy metal band. The original lineup featured vocalist Jack Santiago, guitarists Hélcio Aguirra and Marcos Patriota, bassist Ricardo Ravache and drummer Zé Henrique. In 1985, Tibério Correa Neto (known as Tibério Luthier) took over on drums. This new lineup recorded the band's debut EP, "610703" produced by Luiz Carlos Calanca for the Baratos Afins label. Two years later, in 1987, the band independently released their first full-length album, "909132" (Sete). At the time of this release, the group had evolved to feature Percy Weiss on vocals, Flávio Gutok, Xando Zupo and Filippo Lippo (formerly of Made in Brazil) on guitars, Cláudio Cruz on bass, and Tibério Luthier on drums While the group has seen numerous lineup changes throughout its decades-long career, drummer Tibério Luthier remains the sole constant member
