Antoinette van Dijk

Opera singer and radio presenter, born on August 1879 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She was a celebrated performer throughout Europe, until the outbreak of World War I. Afterwards, she recorded Dutch nursery rhymes and folk songs, as well as presenting a popular radio show, from 1924 to 1940. Van Dijk wrote the song Dag Sinterklaasje in 1926, which is still popular today. She passed away on June 24, 1975 in The Hague.
