Italian born. Takes on classical piano at age 10, then at 14 discovers jazz and starts playing off-beat. Life brings him to the UK. There he gains a BSc in Electronic Music, and a PhD in Composition. From 2000 to 2024 he is a Principal Lecturer and Researcher in the Music Department at the University of Hertfordshire, as well as the Artistic Director for the Sonic Herts Festival. Filoseta has realised several projects in a wide range of media: acoustic and electroacoustic works, contemporary music-theatre, video art, sound installation, etc., some of which have been performed internationally. He has also published two academic articles: "Electronic Dance Music in Narrative Film", and "Authentically Badly Crafted by Professional Amateurs: Lo-fi aesthetics in noise and words”. Currently, Filoseta's musical output focuses on studio productions, combining his background in jazz, his extensive knowledge of musics of the world, and his significant experience with electroacoustics and sound design to create pulse-driven tracks that draw the listener into a musical journey of luscious and highly individual sonorities.
