Mexican bolero singer, also referred to as "El Tenor de la voz de seda" (= "The silky-voiced Tenor"). Also appears as "Juan Arbizu". Lived several years in Argentine, where he also sang tangos, and also in Chile, Colombia. He discovered and made famous several latin american composer, including Agustín Lara with whom he acted as a duo. Has been married to the Mexican actress María Félix Some estimations give 2000 as the number of songs he has recorded in his career. (22 May 1900 - 19 Nov. 1985, Querétaro, Mexico)
