Some copies used for advance promotion came in blank white cardboard sleeves accompanied by a deluxe press-kit in a WB logo folder which contained a glossy photo, a 5pp stapled reprint of an interview by Kristine McKenna from "Musician", June 1982, 9 pages of press-clippings and quotes (stapled), and a staple-bound 24-page, 8.5"x5.5" titled "How I Learned My Lesson", a "songbook by John and Exene" with extensive artwork, photos, and hand-lettered lyrics to the songs on "Big Black Sun".”
