“Zur Aufnahme: Diese Funkaufnahme entstand im Jahre 1942. Leider wurde nicht die komplette Oper aufgenommen, sondern nur die 4 großen Final-Szenen. Es handelte sich um eine der ersten Tonbandaufnahmen, die der damalige Reichsrundfunk herstellte, wodurch die Qualität nicht immer dem heutigen Stand entspricht. Dien Sänger dieser Aufnahmen stellen mit einigen Ausnahmen die Premierenbesetzung der Berliner Staastsoper vom 29. Oktober 1941 dar. Der Dirigent ist der damalige Staatskapellmeister Johannes Schüler.”
