“A stereo Dynagroove Recording. Recorded in RCA Victor's Music Center of the World, Hollywood, California. This is the first US press, second version. Tracks A2 and B2 play the original versions with the 'offensive' lyrics: "Don't tell me you want money" on A2 "That sway as you lay under me" on B2 The track listing on the labels has the title and writers credits on one line. Cover is second-state, with a revised rear cover slick pasted on top of the first-state slick. © 1966, Radio Corporation Of America”

“This release is a confirmed "2nd version". Tracks A2 and B2 have the original 'offensive' lyrics: "Don't tell me you want money" on A2 "That sway as you lay under me" on B2 This Hollywood pressing nearly matches Hollywood pressing [r8053567] except that track A5 Tobacco Road is credited to 'Warnick Clay' instead of 'Clay Warnick' (J.D. Loudermilk is correct writer). Similar 'Warnick Clay' credit is found on Hollywood pressings [r12135881] and [r21196225] but these do not play both of the uncensored lyrics as this version does. Cover is confirmed to be "3rd state" w/ full cover slick on reverse including "RE" after the catalog numbers on the upper right corner and '4' near bottom left corner. The labels have title and writing credits on two lines Deep Groove black RCA Victor Label Stereo Dynagroove.”

“This entry: 3rd variation of first issue with censored tracks A2, B2. See notes on the master release for an explanation. But note: type 2 and type 3 cannot be distinguished by the matrix codes alone. It requires listening to the record you have and deciding if you have the censored or uncensored version. Indianapolis pressing, denoted by "I" stamped in run-out dead wax. [r14409995] appears to also be an Indianapolis pressing but has different label - no deep groove both sides. Label gives writing credits for "Tobacco Road" to "Clay Warnick".”

“This example is apparently a pressing error with Side A censored, as in the 3rd version, but Side B uncensored as in the 2nd version. Black labels with "RCA Victor" in white print at the top and Nipper and gramophone below it. Cat. The stamped "3" in the runout on side A is scratched out and a "17" etched above it. On side B the stamp the "3" is untouched, not scratched over. Track A5 contains the misprint, erroneously listing the songwriter as Warnick Clay (not Clay Warnick as on most other versions). The song is written by John D. Loudermilk. “Originaly released in 1966. This CD pressing originally glass mastered in 1996, reissued two years later. In order to preserve the integrity of each complete album, there is a 10-second gap between the stereo and mono versions. "Runnin' 'Round This World" was originally withdrawn at the request of RCA Records label executives. The song was originally intended as the closing track of side one. The album is now presented in its entirety for the first time. (Although there are some sources that state this is not the same track originally intended for the album) Catalog number is 07863 66797-2 on spine & disc, 66797-2 on back of booklet.
