“Fully laminated sleeve with grey stripe across the base of the front cover. The sleeve design with the grey strip was used on the sleeves with turquoise lettering and was discontinued shortly afterwards. This issue has the earlier uncorrected stamped matrix number, slightly later issues have the second 8 scratched out. Atlantic red and plum label with Superhype / Jewel Music credits on both labels. There are also copies with the grey strip at the base of the sleeve which have Superhype credits on one label side and Warner Bros/7 Arts on the other, there are probably only a handful of these as it would only have happened when the remaining Superhype labels were being used up. The 2nd pressing has orange lettering with no Superhype credits. Later pressings have a different catalogue number (K 40031) and also have orange lettering.”

“Repress with orange sleeve lettering, orange/plum labels and "Warner Bros./7. Arts" publishing credits. Very similar to Version 7 [r5964798], but different label layout. Fully laminated cover. No grey stripe across the base of the front cover. (All UK covers actually have this grey stripe, but it is not always equally visible. This depends on how the cover was folded and is subject to variations. Here it is only visible on the edge.) ℗ 1969 Publishing: • Warner Bros./7. Arts - A1, A2 A4 to B3, B5. • Jewel Music - A3, B4. The runout number on side A is: 588171 A//1 13 17 (See pictures: the last '8' is overdrawn by two \\ and has a hand etched 8 written above it), similar to [r5194975]. Runouts are stamped except for the hand-etched 8 on side A. Some copies have a Kinney sticker with K40031 as a cat # for old Polydor stock acquired.”

It by the way correctly plays the Zep's side 2 tracks; - it's a first press due to AA lacquer and RG mastering (Rob Grennell, mastering engineer for Atlantic in the late 60s); - MO on label and circled "MR" in runout denotes a Monarch pressing; - track B5 time listed as 3:30 (on back cover), but actual time is 8:30; - the spine shows "stereo" printed in white on top on orange background, "Led Zeppelin" and "Altantic SD 8216" in black on white background. All capitalized; - earliest pressings do not have the RIAA Gold Record Award sticker on front cover (RIAA gold sticker was added on the covers months later).”
