25th Anniversary 4MC Box Set
chevron_rightHis Master's Voice / Chrysalis
“Possibly one of the strangest official Tull releases: issued only for their four dates Indian leg of their "25th Anniversary Tour" in mid February 1994. Rumours say that CD players were not common (or affordable for Indians in those days) and therefore Ian Anderson decided to release a specially priced MC box set for this occasion. The cassettes are housed in a quite simple carton box with a separate top and is not comparable with the international CD "mock cigar-box" edition, but it is also sealed on two opposite sides with "HMV International" adhesive tape. Number of titles and even running orders are totally different compared to the CD version. On the other hand it includes the "Living In The Past - Club Mix Version" on Cassette 1. Lucky buyers were able to grab an additional cigar design 24-page booklet "while stocks last", which does not slot into the much smaller carton box (booklet has same size as the international version, but completely different chronological order and less information and photos). But it includes a nice special note by IA dedicated to their Indian fans, using the space of the "Marquee Artist" sheet (which has been adapted for this occasion) from page 6 of the "Cigar Box" booklet. "4 Pre-Recorded Cassettes Maximum Retail Price Rs. 200.00 Inclusive of all Taxes" Running times taken from CD version”
