“This is an early version of the Hunting High And Low album. An in-house test cassette made for WARNER BROS L.A. and AHA-Management only. Tracks A1-A6, A8, A9 are alternative (early) mixes, created by original producer Tony Mansfield, before the 'AHA Album' (later named 'Hunting High And low') was remixed by John Ratcliff with a-ha. The track 'Go To Sleep' did not make the final 10 album tracks, as Alan Tarney in 1985 produced 'The Sun Always Shines On T.V.' as a very late addition to the album. All of the 10 recordings were later officially released, both on the 4CD/DVD Deluxe Edition of 'Hunting High And low' in 2015 and on separate vinyl editions 'The Early Alternate Mixes" for RSD 2019 and the 6LP Super Deluxe Edition Box Set in 2023.”
