The Crank

Created in conjunction with Michael’s artist-in residence for Build Your Own: Tools for Sharing at the Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery. This tape features a recording of 'The Crank' two minute brown wax cylinder (released earlier this year on Quagga Curious Sounds) being played on a 19th century acoustic cylinder phonograph. Black and white artwork is printed onto clear acetate with rubber-stamped white cassette labels affixed onto the shell. The tape has a custom length of exactly 2 minutes and 23 seconds with side A & B featuring the same recording. Edition of 2 hand-numbered copies.
