DIRE STRAITS & THE POLICE In Concert show # I 88-02 Original airdate: the week of January 18th, 1988 1988 pre-FM double translucent vinyl LP Westwood One presents a double-bill featuring Dire Straits and The Police. The Straits' show was recorded on 19 July 1978 at the Paris Theatre in London, while The Police were captured on 21 February 1979 at Hatfield Polytechnic. Portions of the Dire Straits performance can be found on Live at the BBC and In Concert-182, while The Police performance is available on In Concert-196. Includes original commercial blocks and DJ intros. Released on translucent vinyl. Variant 1 has side B & side D labels inverted (see 2nd sheet image), variant 2 the labels are placed correctly with respect to the runouts. Runouts are etched.
