Notas

One of the premier bassists in jazz and an indispensable contributor to the music of Ornette Coleman, Keith Jarrett and Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden debuts on Blue Note with his third album with the Liberation Music Orchestra, Dream Keeper. The centerpiece of this album is the song, "Dream Keeper," arranged by Carla Bley and using her original music, traditional melodies from El Salvador, Venezuela and Spain with words by Langston Hughes. "Rabo de Nube" will be the airplay ringer for World Music programming, New A/C and Jazz radio. This all-star 16 piece group includes the awesome tenors of Dewey Redman, Joe Lovano and Branford Marsalis, trumpeter Tom Harrell, pianist Amina Claudine Myers and guitarist Mick Goodrick. The Liberation Music Orchestra's two previous masterpieces, issued a decade apart, and its rare concert appearances have made each of the band's performances special and anticipated. This third recorded appearance (and first in eleven years) will be newsworthy and critically acclaimed.
